In a quiet moment of silence. Paisatges brings together thirty-nine painters with the same theme: landscape
On April 7th, the opening of the collective exhibition was inaugurated with In a Quiet Moment of Silence. Paisatges with pieces from the Citerior Arts Collection.
I participated in the exhibition with one study, Kinetic Studies, a work of pencil and watercolor on paper.
The curator of the exhibition, Javier Badenes Martín, has brought together pieces that interpret landscape as a subject of continual study in the history of painting from a contemporary perspective.
«In the In a quiet moment of silence. Paisatges exhibition, longstanding artists are represented, such as Francisco Farreras and Ramón Cascado, as well as young authors such as Albano, Elena Alonso and Rafael Macarrón.
The dates of the exhibition pieces extend from 1961 with Manuel H. Mompó’s oil painting to the 2015 aluminum piece from Marlon de Azambuja. «The pictorial style is also varied with the lyricism of Salvador Victoria, Robert Ferrer i Martorell’s geometry, Guillermo Lledó’s objecthood, and the spatiality of José María Yturralde.»
