REGISTRO 42 and a selection of RETALES, at ARCO Lisboa 2026, in dialogue with Claude Viallat
The Rafael Pérez Hernando Gallery fosters a dialogue between the paintings of Beatriz Olano, Lourdes Castro Cerón, Lina Espinosa, and Claude Vaillat at the ARCO Lisboa 26 art fair.
On the side walls of the booth, my canvas REGISTRO 42 gazes directly at the french painter Claude Vaillat; and listens.
REGISTRO 42 is conceived from the atmospheric features of Hövsgöl, Mongolia. There I found color and non-color, fullness and emptiness, rawness and refinement, ornament and bareness; organic elements, planes, and geometry.
REGISTRO 42 possesses a color, a composition, and an expression that teeters on the edge, on the brink, about to cease to exist.
Out in the open air, at twilight, the color and structure of natural spaces participate in this tension: they are on the verge of disappearing.
In the booth’s back room, you can see RETALES, from 62 to 69.
