The Embassy of the Republic of South Korea inaugurates an exhibition with spanish and korean artists
The Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Spain, Mr. Jinsang Jang, presided over the inauguration of the exhibition Hybrid: The connected world; Le mondé connecté at the Korean Cultural Center in Madrid in collaboration with the Association of Young Koreans in France. The exhibition brings together works of Harin Tak, and Séri and Shungo Park, all of whom developed their projects of painting and photography at the University Paris in Sorbonne.
“I participate in this exhibition with the sculptor Yolanda Blanco and photographer Markus Schroll. My works evoke river atmospheres of the Hunan and Hangzhou provinces in China. My stay there allowed me to travel around the country to draw. I even went to secluded areas on the border in Tibet and other regions where the traditions of the past are still alive. I did many drawings, sketches, and wrote letters that contain many anecdotes, descriptions, and notes on color, structures, and ambience. Finally, in the workshop, my work focused on large-format media. This painting is a deep reflection on the essence of landscape and the greatness of a people: it was a trip drawn.”
